Baris NCEL 2012/13 Match Review #34
29th November, 2012
A hat-trick from Nathan Forbes-Swindells moved Staveley Miners Welfare up into fifth spot in the Baris NCEL Premier Division after their 3-1 home win over Maltby Main in midweek.
Craig Gladwin had put the visitors ahead in the Inkersall Road encounter on Wednesday night but the hosts were 2-1 up by the break and Forbes-Swindells claimed the matchball on 64 minutes.
It was a quieter-than-anticipated midweek as only three matches were played due to the recent bad weather with only one game surviving on Tuesday.
A hat-trick of penalties from Michael Trench saw Dinnington Town through to the Third Round of the League Cup having won 3-2 at home to Teversal.
The Nottinghamshire side had forced extra-time with two goals in the last ten minutes of normal time from Colin Cockerill and player-boss Jamie Hudson.
And, in the other game played on Wednesday, Albion Sports bowed out of the West Riding County Cup as two penalties saw them go down 2-0 at home to Blue Square Bet North side FC Halifax Town.
