Thackley won the battle of the remaining two sides with a hundred percent record in midweek to move four points clear at the top of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division table.
They were 5-1 winners at Albion Sports to make it seven victories out of seven, racing into a 3-0 lead by the interval with goals from Matthew Morgan, Luke Richardson and Mike Garrod.
Nicky Matthews made it four and Garrod doubled his tally to put the game well beyond their hosts by the 53rd minute before Delroy Facey got a consolation midway through the second period.
Athersley Recreation are up into second after Lee Bennett netted four times in their 5-2 home victory over Glasshoughton Welfare.
Joel Sutton scored a hat-trick for Bridlington Town as they thumped bottom-side visitors Nostell Miners Welfare, 7-2, a win that sees the Seasiders climb into the top four.
Pickering Town were also big scorers as they beat Winterton Rangers, 7-1, at Mill Lane with Joe Danby and Liam Shepherd getting two each for the Pikes.
Barton Town Old Boys are now eighth after their 2-0 home win against Garforth Town, Gareth Barlow opening the scoring in two minutes before a Karl Martens own goal prior to the half-hour made sure of the points.
The Swans are just ahead of Brighouse Town, who won 5-1 at Liversedge, on goal difference whilst there were away wins for Tadcaster Albion and Lincoln Moorlands Railway, 3-1 at Heanor Town and 2-1 at Parkgate, respectively, with Railway's victory being their first of the season.
Jay Rollins struck twice for Armthorpe Welfare as they won 2-1 at home to Basford United and Staveley Miners Welfare were also victorious on their own patch as they defeated Maltby Main, 3-1, with Jordan Turner claiming a brace.
Yorkshire Amateur are now in the top three in Division One after a 3-1 win at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, Adam Ryder with two of their goals sandwiching a Joel Hughes strike.
And, Louis Blackwell's 35th minute goal earned Selby Town a 1-0 victory at AFC Emley.
