Thackley have closed the gap on Toolstation NCEL Premier Division leaders Tadcaster Albion to two points after a single-goal victory at Retford United in midweek.
Craig Fisher's own goal with fourteen minutes remaining was all that separated the sides in the top five clash at Cannon Park.
Barton Town Old Boys moved above Retford into fourth spot with a 4-1 win at bottom side Nostell Miners Welfare with all of their goals, two from Ryan Cooper and one each from Luke Thompson and Henry Gill, all coming in the first half before Machenzie Northern pulled one back for the hosts after the interval.
Athersley Recreation remain in seventh place after their 2-2 home draw with Liversedge, Gibril Bojang snatching a point for the visitors late on.
Two goals from Tyeisse Nightingale helped Basford United to a 4-2 victory at home to Parkgate whilst Darrell Young got Glasshoughton Welfare's goal as they beat visitors Armthorpe Welfare, 1-0.
And, Pickering Town were 2-1 victors at Maltby Main, Joe Danby and Lewis Taylor netting for the Pikes before Brian Cusworth got a consolation for the hosts.
Garforth Town progressed to the Third Round of the League Cup as they defeated Hall Road Rangers, 4-2, at the Wheatley Park Stadium with Connor Bower's first half double setting the Miners on their way to victory.
Keiron Watson struck four times for Clipstone Welfare in their 7-1 win at Bilborough Pelican in the Second Round of the Notts Senior Cup and, in the Derbyshire Senior Cup, there were 2-0 home victories for Dronfield Town over Glapwell and Heanor Town over South Normanton Athletic in the First and Second Round, respectively.
Asif Hussain's late penalty saw Albion Sports through, 2-1 at Barnoldswick Town, in the Second Round of the West Riding County Cup.
There were two all-NCEL ties in the Lincolnshire Senior Cup Third Round with Bottesford Town prevailing on penalties over visitors Winterton Rangers after the game finished 2-2 after ninety minutes.
And, Cleethorpes Town came from behind to beat Grimsby Borough, 2-1, in the battle of the two sides who play at the Bradley Football Development Centre.
Louis Grant put Borough ahead on three minutes but Jack Richardson quickly levelled and Johnathan Oglesby got the winner just before the hour mark.
