Tadcaster Albion stretched their lead at the top of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division to eight points with a single-goal victory at Armthorpe Welfare on Saturday.
Darren Mansaram's own goal after nine minutes was all that separated the sides as the Brewers made it 22 games without defeat and took advantage of a free weekend for Thackley who began the day in second place.
Barton Town Old Boys moved up above Thackley with a 2-1 home victory over Brighouse Town, Gareth Owen netting on six minutes to cancel out Ryan Hall's goal for the visitors in the opening seconds of the game and Bradley Ricketts grabbed the winner as time was running out.
Retford United and Bridlington Town climbed up into the top five with home wins, Retford beating basement side Nostell Miners Welfare, 6-1, Reece Thompson with four of the Badgers' goals, and Bridlington survived a late comeback to defeat Athersley Recreation, 3-2.
Craig Hogg, James Bennett and Joel Sutton had the Seasiders up by three goals with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining before Craig Fletcher struck twice for the visitors to make the finale more tense than many were expecting.
Brighouse drop to sixth whilst Albion Sports fall to seventh after their 2-1 loss at Heanor Town, Daniel Facey putting them ahead before Nick Hall and Nathan Benger made sure all three points went to the hosts.
Jimmy Beadle scored four and there were hat-tricks for Josh Greening and Joe Danby as Pickering Town pummelled struggling visitors Lincoln Moorlands Railway, 11-0, whilst there were a vital three points for Parkgate as they look to move away from the lower reaches of the table.
Andrew Dawson, George Morley and Ben Langford scored in their 3-1 home victory over Basford United.
Garforth Town won 4-2 at Staveley Miners Welfare, Worksop Parramore were 1-0 victors at Long Eaton United and Glasshoughton Welfare drew 3-3 with visitors Maltby Main.
Shaw Lane Aquaforce were the sole winners in the top five in Division One as they moved back to the top of the table but still only five points separates the leading six teams.
Christopher Coy and Danny Barlow netted for Aquaforce as they beat fifth-placed visitors Eccleshill United, 2-0, to overtake Cleethorpes Town who were held 1-1 at Grimsby Borough in the battle of the two sides who play at the Bradley Football Development Centre.
Nathan Emson put Cleethorpes ahead at the beginning of the second half but Andrew Taylor made sure the spoils were shared with ten minutes remaining.
Two goals from Martin Pembleton were not enough for third-placed Bottesford Town who drew 3-3 at AFC Emley, Antony Brown claiming a brace of his own for the home side.
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic stay fourth despite a 3-2 loss at home to Knaresborough Town, Blaine Hobson with the 84th minute winner for the visitors after the hosts had come from two goals down to restore parity.
Selby Town closed in on the top five as Daniel Gray's hat-trick earned them a 3-1 home victory over Yorkshire Amateur.
Nigel Danby's injury-time winner kept Pontefract Collieries in seventh as they won 3-2 at Dinnington Town, ahead of Knaresborough and Shirebrook Town who were single goal victors at Dronfield Town, courtesy of a goal from Aaron Moxam.
Hemsworth Miners Welfare and Hall Road Rangers were 3-0 winners at Appleby Frodingham and Louth Town, respectively, whilst Clipstone defeated visitors Rossington Main, 3-1, and Teversal were held 1-1 at home by Hallam.
