Thackley were unable to close the gap on Toolstation NCEL Premier Division leaders Tadcaster Albion as they were beaten 2-0 at Armthorpe Welfare in midweek.
Second half goals from Jay Rollins and Craig Morley gave the home side a surprise victory to increase the gap between themselves and the bottom four to seven points whilst Thackley remain in third, eight points from the top.
Worksop Parramore left it late to beat visitors Long Eaton United, 3-0, with Sam Smith getting all their goals in the last four minutes of the match.
And, there was also a hat-trick for Joe Thornton for Athersley Recreation but they were beaten 6-4 at home by Maltby Main, Norman Lovell and Craig Gladwin with two each amongst the visitors' scorers.
The top two sides in Division One both won on their travels with Shaw Lane Aquaforce staying at the summit on goal difference after their 3-1 win at Hemsworth Miners Welfare, Luke Danville netting twice sandwiching an Ashley Flynn penalty whilst William Kemp got a late consolation for Welfare.
Cleethorpes Town, meanwhile, were 3-0 victors at Teversal, Marc Cooper, Jack Richardson and Nathan Emson with their goals.
Matthew Thompson and Adam Shepherd got on the scoresheet for Shirebrook Town as they won 2-0 at Rossington Main whilst Pontefract Collieries drew 2-2 at AFC Emley.
Nostell Miners Welfare are through to the Fourth Round of the League Cup beating Staveley Miners Welfare, who finished the match with eight men, 4-0, Adam Frost and Machenzie Northern scoring early on before Matthew Johnson's brace at the end of the game confirmed the victory.
There were comfortable victories for our three sides involved in Notts Senior Cup Third Round action as Clipstone won 4-0 at home to Greenwood Meadows, Basford United progressed with a 3-0 victory at Radcliffe Olympic and Retford United are also through as they beat Evo-Stik League visitors Eastwood Town, 4-0.
And, in the Quarter-Finals of the West Riding County Cup, Eccleshill United defeated league rivals Brighouse Town, 3-1, at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium but Selby Town and Albion Sports bowed out at Guiseley and Ossett Albion, respectively.
