Toolstation NCEL Match Review 2013/14 #38
19th December, 2013
The Toolstation Northern Counties East League's final side left in the FA Carlsberg Vase bowed out of the competition on Tuesday night.
They were agonisingly beaten by an 89th minute winner from Ross Peareth as they went down 1-0 at Ebac Northern League side, Whickham.
Elsewhere, Heanor Town climbed to eleventh in the Premier Division after their 4-1 victory at Liversedge.
Ryan Tinsley gave them a single goal advantage by the break before Gibril Bojang netted a leveller from the penalty spot early in the second period.
Kieran Debrouwer scored his 31st goal of the season to quickly restore Heanor's lead before Nathan Benger and Greg Simmons made sure of the win in the final twenty minutes.
And, on Wednesday, goals in the opening three second half minutes from Shaun Rickford and Ben Watkiss ensured a 2-0 home win for Long Eaton United at home to Winterton Rangers and the Derbyshire side move up one place to fourteenth.
Meanwhile, Staveley Miners Welfare's home clash with Albion Sports was abandoned after 62 minutes due to a waterlogged pitch with the visitors leading 4-1.
