Gedling Town have announced the signing of former Notts County midfielder Shaun Murray.

The 36-year-old, who was at Meadow Lane between 1998 and 2001, has more recently been plying his trade with Kettering Town and Belper Town.

His arrival is part of a massive overhaul of the playing staff at the Riverside Ground.

Manager Gary Hayward has brought in over eighteen new players to the Division One club during the summer.

Chairman Roland Ash told the NCEL website: "Gary has worked very hard and we now have a blend of youth and experience that will hopefully give us a better finishing spot than last year."

Gedling finished fourth, missing out on promotion by three points.
