Nostell Miners Welfare are getting ready for their first ever season in the NCEL.

The Welfare Ground outfit have signed two vastly experienced players.

Goalkeeper John Scargill, who was at Sheffield Wednesday during the late 1990s, has joined following a spell with Thackley last season.

The other new face is defender Dave Watts, a player with many seasons under his belt in the UniBond League and whose last club was Wakefield & Emley.

Welfare have also been boosted by the re-signing of two of their most influential players, Darren Rushton and Neil Samardija.

They begin their Division One campaign at Rossington Main on the 12th of August.
