Code Of Conduct At Moorlands

1st August, 2006

Lincoln Moorlands have launched a "Code of Conduct" to ensure that the club is always "held with the highest of reputations."

Speaking on the club's official website, secretary Graham Peck said: "Many clubs have adopted similar documents to set out a clear expectation of what is required within the club by both players and club staff.

"All too often we see and hear of some appalling things happening at some clubs and have no intention of ruining our reputation as a friendly community football club.

"Things will happen on the field and that is part of the game, but off the field everything should be forgotten over a friendly beer or two.

"This includes the respect of match officials whether home or away.

"In simple terms, if players do not want to co-operate in making this club a success and have a tremendous club spirit then action will be taken.

"Respect is a word not used often enough in football and we want to put the word at the heart of what we do and in whom we deal with."
