Andrew Meredith, the secretary of NCEL Division One side South Normanton Athletic, has resigned after a four-year spell with the Lees Lane club.

Andrew gives his reasons as personal ones and has left by mutual agreement with the Committee.

He does not have any plans for the future and will, together with his wife Louise continue to support the Shiners whenever possible.

Colin Price, the Shiners Chairman, said: "Obviously, we are disappointed but I would like to thank Andrew of behalf of everyone at the Club and we wish him well for the future.

"He will always be welcome at Lees Lane."
