New Management Team at Shirebrook
2nd February, 2014
Mark Camm and Danny Bacon have been unveiled as the new management team at Toolstation NCEL Division One side Shirebrook Town.
The announcement from the Langwith Road outfit came on Saturday night after it had been revealed that they had parted company with Kevin Gee and Ian Whyte who had been in charge since October.
A statement on the club's website said: "Club president James Doody has announced that both Kevin Gee and Ian Whyte have been released from their roles on the management team of Shirebrook Town Football Club with immediate effect.
"Following much deliberation and consideration both the club's president and chairman, Daniel Marsh, agreed that the club needed a Management Team that would provide consistency and a long term solution for the club.
"We thank Kevin and Ian for their services and wish them all the best for the future."
A second statement released by the club said: "Club President James Doody is delighted to announce that Mark Camm and Danny Bacon have been appointed as first team managers on a long term deal up until the end of the 2015/16 season.
"Over the last 21 months, the chairman and I have been striving to find long term solution to the club's management and we are delighted that we have finally landed our men on a long term deal.
"Mark and Danny tick all the right boxes and we are really excited about the future and now know we can all relax knowing the long term future is in good hands.
"Both men are from the area and know the town and people really well. In addition they are both ex-professional footballers and now also have a direct insight into Northern Counties football. It's a perfect blend and they will get all the time and support they require from the people behind the scenes at the club.
"Congratulations on your appointment and all the best for the future."
