Rangers Wish Foster All The Best
20th May, 2014
Hall Road Rangers have confirmed that manager Andy Foster has resigned with immediate effect after accepting a job on the coaching staff at Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side Bridlington Town.
Foster took over running of Hall Road Rangers' first team during the 2012/13 season and oversaw their relegation from the Premier Division into Division One. His second season in charge saw Rangers finish eleventh in Division One.
Despite the relegation, the A Licence coach's positive attitude and experience both on and off the pitch was a stabilising catalyst at Dene Park and he is sure to be missed around the John Moore Security Stadium.
In a statement, Foster said: "After much consideration over the last couple of weeks I have decided to resign my position as manager of Hall Road Rangers with immediate effect.
"This season we have seen the shoots of potential on the playing front. The decision is a personal one and not easy."
Rangers Chairman Darren Sunley was thankful for Foster's contribution, saying: "I would like to thank Andy for all the work he has put into the club on behalf of the committee at Hall Road Rangers.
"We are now busy planning our next season where we are aiming for a top four finish, something I'm confident that can be achieved with the management team and great players we have at the club.
"For us, it's about moving forwards and we wish Andy all the best in his future."
Advanced talks are already underway for a replacement for Foster and this will be announced later this week following a meeting between senior first team players and committee members.
The departure of Foster to their local seaside rivals comes at a pivotal moment for Rangers and his replacement is sure to be swift and positive.
