Hastings is New Rangers Boss
22nd May, 2014
Hall Road Rangers have moved swiftly to appoint Lee Hastings as the manager of their Toolstation NCEL Division One side.
In a meeting on Monday evening held at the Florins restaurant on Princess Avenue, chairman Darren Sunley unveiled his appointment to the first team squad. Hastings was first team coach under previous manager Andy Foster and is hugely respected by the team and committee at Hall Road.
"It is with great pleasure that the committee have appointed Lee Hastings as manager of the first team," said Sunley. "We are looking forward to the new season with high hopes and believe Lee is the ideal candidate to get the first team where we want to be."
Hastings has previous management experience at Hodgsons F.C. between 2004 and 2012, bowing out in January 2012 after winning the Humber Premier League Division One as champions to join Andy Foster at Rangers.
"When being offered the opportunity to manage a club of this potential, it wasn't difficult for me to say yes," said Hastings. "After a number of meetings it was clear to me that the chairman and committee were very keen to push Hall Road Rangers forward, both on and off the pitch."
"I am grateful they saw fit that I am the person to do this. The pre-season schedule is taking shape and I would encourage anybody interested in being involved with this up-and-coming club, in whatever capacity, to get in touch via the Hall Road website."
Rangers will be announcing further back room staff appointments soon as well as pre-season fixtures.
