Armthorpe search for new club secretary

3rd October, 2023

The committee of Armthorpe Welfare are looking for someone to take on the volunteer role of club secretary from the current secretary, Martin Turner, who is stepping down at the end of the season.

Martin was due to step down at the end of last season but has stayed on for one last season so he can work alongside a new secretary for the rest of this season to ease them into the role.

It is essential that applicants are computer literate as much of the role is online based and involves, but is not limited to, arranging player registrations and transfers, communicating with and acting on information from the NCEL, FA, County FA and other clubs, dealing with various regular club correspondence, liaising with the managers of the club’s various teams regarding fixtures, discipline and players as well as attending club meetings and taking minutes.

Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, especially experience of the FA Whole Game System and MOAS but the current secretary will work alongside the incoming secretary to ensure familiarity with these systems.

It is an exciting time to be getting involved at the club with the strides that have been taken in recent years so the incoming secretary will play an important part as the club looks to progress further in the near future.

To express an interest in the position or to request more information please email armthorpe.welfare@hotmail.co.uk.
