Glasshoughton Welfare have announced that Christian Fox has become the Toolstation NCEL Division One club's new manager.

His appointment comes after a series of interviews were held on Wednesday night with Fox installed as boss with immediate effect.

His first match in the dugout will be Glasshoughton's Welfare home league fixture against Athersley Recreation on Saturday.

All unsuccessful candidates have been informed of the club's decision and thanked for their interest in the role.

Fox, who is well known in Toolstation NCEL circles after playing at and managing Selby Town for a number of years, replaces Lee Vigars who stepped down at the start of the month after being in charge at Welfare since 2016.
