Premiership For Former Sheffield Star

Sheffield FC can now boast that a former player has signed for a Premiership club for an initial fee of ?350,000.
Sam Sodje, who played for Sheffield FC in season 2000/01 and played in their FA Cup run that reached the 4th and final Qualifying round, has signed for Reading from Brentford.
Sheffield manager Dave McCarthy said: "All at Sheffield FC think very highly of Sam and are extremely pleased to see that he has reached the top level of English football, the Premier League.
"I am sure that Sam enjoyed his time at Sheffield FC, before transferring to Stevanage Borough and learned a great deal about what the game in England is all about.
"All at Sheffield FC will watch his progress at Reading closely and look forward to catching up with him when he plays our local Premiership side, Sheffield United."
