Arnold Town have signed two players and more could be on their way.

Mark Clifford has joined from Stamford AFC with the club's official website describing him as "a player with considerable experience" who is "expected to add great support to midfield."

29-year-old Clifford began his career as a trainee at Mansfield Town where he made five appearances before moving on to Ilkeston Town, Boston United, Chester and Nuneaton Borough.

They have also signed Jason Nicholson, a striker who scored three goals in his debut for the reserves at Holbrook.

Meanwhile, talks are being held with a Unibond Club in an effort to bring another player to Gedling Road.

And, no fewer than three seven day notices of approach have been issued by the Eagles in the past week as joint managers Andy Muldoon and Calvin Plummer continue to strengthen the first team squad.
