Glapwell Football Club has received planning permission in respect of Phase 1 of their Ground Grading Developments.

Plans have now been agreed and passed for developing their existing changing rooms to UniBond specifications, incorporating a new state of the art physio/recovery room, as well as public toilets with disabled toilet access.

The total cost of the project will be around ?40,000, which will be self-funded by the club and work is planned to start early in the New Year, with completion in time for Glapwell?s last league game against Maltby Main in April 2007.

In addition to the work scheduled for the changing rooms, two turnstiles have already been installed at the existing ground entrance, with a further two due to be installed in an additional entrance that is to be built.

It is also hoped that the ground will be totally self-contained by the end of this year.

The second phase of the development will be to erect a new social club area, conference room and gymnasium, with plans looking to be passed before the end of the 2006/2007 season.
