Mickleover Sports manager Dick Pratley has praised his squad for their togetherness.

Pratley and his team have just returned from a bonding session in Dublin, where everyone gave their word that they would be at Station Road next season.

"There were about 18 of us in Dublin and it gave me the chance to go round and talk to the players about next season," said Pratley.

"They all seemed keen on staying on and a lot of them gave me a verbal commitment.

"But I'm sure that if other clubs came in for them with more money, then they may change their minds.

"There has been a lot of turmoil at the club this year and the fact that everyone has stayed so positive and we won a cup for our efforts is a credit to the players and everyone at the club.

"There is still a lot of restructuring going on behind the scenes and we have been left with a small debt to clear but, overall, I have been pleased with what we have achieved."
