After leading the club to Baris NCEL Premier Division safety, Winterton Rangers have announced that Leigh Herrick will be their new boss on a permanent basis. Herrick (pictured below) and Mark McDonagh had been in temporary charge as player-managers since Steve Adams' departure in January and they managed to steer the West Street outfit away from the bottom two, losing only once in their last eight games.
Chairman Wayne Turtle said: "Whilst Mark wishes to continue playing, Leigh was looking to take the step into full time management.
"Both Leigh and Mark have done a fantastic job and the decision to give the post to local lad Leigh was an easy one.
"Leigh shares the drive, enthusiasm and ambition of the board and we wish him well in his new role."
