Free Admission for Next Staveley Game
13th January, 2014
Staveley Miners Welfare have announced that this Wednesday's league clash at home to Albion Sports will be free admission to all spectators.
In a statement, the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side explained why they have done it, saying: "With two recent NCEL games being abandoned at Inkersall Road after 62 and 81 minutes, we are sure that there has been a great deal of frustration amongst our supporters and others who may have attended these games.
"Albion Sports, who were leading 4-1 when one of the games was abandoned, were exemplary after the game and their sportsmanship should be applauded.
"We welcome them back this Wednesday, weather permitting, at Inkersall Rd for a NCEL game - kick off at 7:45pm - for which there is free entry for anyone wishing to attend this game.
"It is our gesture to our supporters, to Albion Sports and any football fan during January when, after the recent festivities, we know cash can be a little tight.
"Please come along to enjoy the free admission game at which our fully licensed bar will be open and our caf? will have an array of quality food and special offers for the night.
"We hope you can make it."
