Brewers Appeal Points Deduction
18th April, 2014
The Toolstation NCEL Management Board have released the following statement regarding Tadcaster Albion.
The League Management Board has charged Tadcaster Albion FC under competition rule 6.9 of playing an ineligible player in two games earlier in the season.
As a result of this charge, the club exercised its right to a personal hearing to appear before the League Management Board.
Following this personal hearing and, after listening carefully to the club's views, the League Management Board informed the club that they would be deducted four points from their total, those being the points gained from the two matches in which the ineligible player played, subject to the club's right of appeal to The Football Association under competition rule 17.4.
The club has now decided to exercise its right of appeal to The Football Association and both parties await a date for this appeal.
There will be no further comment by the Toolstation Northern Counties East League on this matter until after the result of the appeal is known.
