1,000 Fans Fun Day in April at Penistone

15th March, 2026

Penistone Church have announced that their final home game of the Macron NCEL Premier Division season will be a 1,000 Fans Fun Day as they look to break their all-time attendance record.

If successful, the match against Sheffield on Saturday 4th April would become the first game to have a four-figure crowd at the Parker Roofing Memorial Ground in the club's 120-year history.

The game, against the world's first football club, will be part of a full day of entertainment and is a Pay What You Want event, meaning you can choose your own ticket price.

Junior matches kick things off at midday with the game against Sheffield kicking off at 3pm before entertainment from 7pm including local international phenomenon Neil Diamondo performing live in the clubhouse.

Penistone Church, who were founded in 1906, have over 35 teams for both men and women, boys and girls, from the age of five to the over 45s.

And, they have announced that they will also have exciting news about ground redevelopment as they celebrate their 120th anniversary this year.

Penistone had originally earmarked a game in October against Golcar United as their 1,000 Fans Fun Day but their progression in the Isuzu FA Vase meant that the event had to be rescheduled.
