Proposed NCEL Constitution Finalised

17th June, 2008

The proposed constitution of the Koolsport Northern Counties East League for the 2008/09 season has been finalised.

As previously revealed, Glapwell have been promoted to the UniBond League with Bridlington Town coming in the opposite direction.

Askern Welfare, Appleby Frodingham and Grimsby Borough come in to the League from the Central Midlands whilst Brighouse Town and Hemsworth Miners Welfare will be joining us from the West Riding County Amateur League.

Dinnington Town and Hall Road Rangers are to be promoted to the Premier Division.

And, with the sad demise of South Normanton Athletic, to maintain twenty teams in the top division only one side will be relegated to Division One, Glasshoughton Welfare.

Meanwhile, two teams, Borrowash Victoria and Gedling Town, have moved across to the new Step 6 East Midlands League.
