Following an encouraging meeting with club representatives this afternoon, the Northern Counties East Football League have officially admitted Scarborough Athletic into Division One.

President Frank Catt and chairman Tom Dixon attended the meeting at Bridlington Town FC's Queensgate ground which is where the team will play their home matches.

The Management Board are pleased to welcome the club that is run by the Supporters Trust from the former Scarborough FC, the Seadog Trust.

Meanwhile, as Scarborough Athletic and Leeds Met Carnegie groundshare with Bridlington Town and Farsley Celtic respectively, the Division One fixture list will be delayed until the Blue Square Premier and Unibond League schedules are released.
