Staveley Miners Welfare claimed their ninth straight victory to move up into fourth spot in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division after a 1-0 home win over Armthorpe Welfare in midweek.
Jahmal Smith got the only goal of the game on 20 minutes to continue their rise up the table.
Worksop Town kept hold of third place as Tom Burgin and Connor Sellars netted in a 2-1 triumph at Maltby Main, their goals coming in the first half before Louis Plenty got a consolation for the home side on the hour mark.
The Tigers have closed the gap with leaders Tadcaster Albion to seven points with that victory.
Bridlington Town are up to sixth after a 3-0 home win over Cleethorpes Town, Tom Fleming, Ombeni Ruhanduka and Ryan Nicholls getting on the scoresheet for the Seasiders.
In Division One, Hallam have climbed out of the bottom two after a 5-0 win at Teversal, Jake Wright getting two of their goals.
The Countrymen leapfrog over Dronfield Town who were beaten 3-0 at Shirebrook Town, Liam Morris' brace helping the hosts to a win that sees them up into fifth.
And, Bottesford Town are now sixth after their 2-1 victory at AFC Mansfield, Thomas Spall and Martin Pembleton claiming the points before Dean Rick pulled one back late on for the Bulls.
Both Clipstone and Retford United are through to the next stage of the Notts Senior Cup but the manner of their Third Round victories could not have been more different.
Clipstone eased through with a 2-0 home victory over Clifton All Whites but Retford needed extra-time to progress, 4-3 at home to Selston, with the visitors missing three penalties and leading on three occasions.
