Toolstation NCEL Match Review 2014/15 #39
28th December, 2014
Heavy snow across much of the Toolstation NCEL region meant that only three matches could go ahead on Saturday.
Premier Division leaders Tadcaster Albion extended their advantage at the top of the table to ten points with a dramatic 3-2 victory at Bridlington Town.
The Brewers raced into a two-goal lead with Liam Ormsby and Carl Stewart scoring in the opening sixteen minutes but the hosts rallied and pulled one back before the break through Benn Lewis before Ashley Allanson had seemingly earned them a point with a late equaliser.
However, Josh Greening popped up with an injury-time winner to claim Tadcaster's eighth away league win of the season.
Cleethorpes Town are up into fifth spot following their 6-0 home win over Armthorpe Welfare, Brody Robertson with a hat-trick whilst Kirk Wheeler, Jonathan Oglesby and Lawrence Heward also got on the scoresheet.
And, in Division One, Winterton Rangers climbed out of the bottom two as they beat visitors Penistone Church, 3-1, despite going behind to a seventh minute own goal from Trevor Hindson.
Matthew Steeper levelled midway through the first half before a quick brace in the second period from Luke Anderson gave the home side three vital points.
