Toolstation NCEL Match Review 2014/15 #47
1st February, 2015
The bad weather continued to play havoc with the Toolstation NCEL fixtures schedule with only four matches surviving the week's snow and freezing temperatures on Saturday.
It was honours even in the sole Premier Division clash as Albion Sports drew 1-1 at home to Parkgate, Matthew Mathers opening the scoring on the quarter-of-an-hour mark for the Lions before Andrew Dawson levelled for the visitors on 34 minutes.
Sports stay tenth in the table whilst Parkgate move up one position to fifteenth.
AFC Mansfield are up to sixth in Division One after coming from behind to beat local rivals Teversal, 4-1, at the Forest Town Arena.
Aiden Harris put the away side in front just before half-time as the Carnarvon Street outfit looked to get three invaluable points in their bid to move further away from the relegation zone.
But, the Bulls turned it around in the second period with an equaliser from Chris Timons, an own goal from Steven McGurk putting them ahead and then two more in the last six minutes from Ryan Williams and Mark Dudley confirming the victory.
A hat-trick for Richard Marples helped Dronfield Town canter to a 7-1 triumph at Lincoln Moorlands Railway, a win that could prove vital at the end of the season as both sides battle to avoid finishing in the bottom two.
Dronfield are still in there but they are now just a point behind Moorlands with six games in hand.
And, in the final game of the day, it finished goalless between Knaresborough Town and Yorkshire Amateur, keeping them in twelfth and ninth spot, respectively.
