Adams confirmed until end of season
10th January, 2019
Marlon Adams has been confirmed as AFC Emley manager until the end of the season.
He had been put in temporary charge last week after Joe Howson's twenty-month spell at the helm of the Pewits came to an end on New Year's Day.
And, after a management committee meeting on Tuesday to discuss the next step in appointing a new boss, it has been announced that Adams will remain in the role for the rest of the 2018/19 campaign and he will continue to be supported in the dug out by head coach Darren Hepworth.
Chairman Nigel Wakefield told the club's website on Wednesday evening: "We believe Marlon and Darren are the right team to get us to the end of the season and cement our position in the NCEL Division One."
The Pewits say there will be no further public comment on the first team manager's position until the end of the season.
Their next match is at home this Saturday against Rossington Main as they look to move up from their current fifteenth position in the table and increase the gap with the relegation zone that currently stands at six points.
