Eccleshill United have announced Mick Watson and Andy Patterson as their new management team.

Mick, who has over a decade of management experience with local sides including Tyersal and Thackley, said: "I'm extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to manage at this level and we hope that we can take the club forward to where myself, Andy and the club feel they belong."

Andy managed both the reserves and academy sides at Plumpton Park last season which culminated in the reserves winning the Harrogate and district challenge cup.

Andy, whose playing previous playing career, includes spells at Bradford City, Darlington, East Fife and Thackley becomes part of our newly formed and enthusiastic management team.

Andy paid tribute to the previous manager saying: "I'm thankful to Steve Watson for giving me the chance to manage last season which has given me the confidence to step up and apply for this job along with Mick."

Secretary Paul Jarvis is excited at the prospect of working with the new management team.

"Both Mick and Andy are optimistic about the prospects for the new season, which are echoed by the committee.

"Their enthusiasm is contagious and they are really looking forward to meeting the players and planning for a successful 2007/08 season.

"I would also like to thank all the applicants for their time."
