Management Changes at Dennyfield
11th September, 2014
Thackley have announced that their manager and his assistant have left their positions as part of a complete overhaul of the club's backroom staff.
The Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side have lost their last five games in all competitions, picking up four points in their opening five matches in the league.
The Dennyfield based outfit announced in a statement yesterday: "Thackley AFC have today parted company with first team manager Andy Patterson and his assistant Mick Watson.
"The club would like to place on record its thanks to Andy and Mick for their continued hard work at the football club, particularly during the recent difficulties.
"The club feel both have contributed and can still contribute to the future growth of the club.
"Both Andy and Mick have been offered other roles within the leadership structure of the club and they are considering their positions."
A later announcement said: "Thackley AFC would like to announce the new football leadership structure within the club.
"Mark Senior is joining the club as general football manager and will sit on the Senior Leadership Team of the club to oversee all football related matters. Mark brings a wealth of football experience to the club.
"Carl Priestley has been appointed as interim first team head coach. Carl joins us from Swain Green where he has had a very successful spell in charge. Carl is obviously very keen to secure the role on a permanent basis."
Anyone wishing to apply for the position of first team head coach on a permanent basis should contact chairman Phil Woollias via the club.
