Barton Town Old Boys have announced a Sportsman?s Dinner starring former England legend Stuart Pearce on Saturday 9th May, 2015.The event which is being hosted at the Country Park Inn, Hessle, will feature Pearce alongside top comedian and leading comp?re Jerry Earl.
It will also feature two course dinner plus tea and coffee, an auction of top quality sporting memorabilia and a raffle.
Stuart Pearce is a leading figure in English football leading the way with his lion spirit none more so than when he netted his penalty at Euro 96 with such emotion that the whole country roared with pride.
He started in non-league football with Wealdstone before moving to Coventry and then Nottingham Forest where he played more than 400 games.
Subsequent stints at West Ham, Newcastle and Manchester City brought the curtain down on a career that totalled 706 club appearances and 78 caps for England.
As a coach, Pearce has managed Nottingham Forest twice as well as Manchester City but has spent most of his tenures in international football.
He coached England U21's for six years, was caretaker manager for the senior side and is the only man to take charge of a Great Britain football side at the Olympics.
It's been some career and Stuart will have stories you won't want to miss when he stars at the Barton Town Old Boys Sportsman's Dinner in May.
Tickets go on sale on Monday 9th March and people are being advised to book early to avoid disappointment. They cost ?40 each or a table of 10 for ?350.
