From Garforth to Champions League Semi-Final for Clara

18th May, 2019

The story of a young girl, who became a social media sensation due to her reaction at seeing a female match official at a Toolstation NCEL game, has been immortalised in a video made for the UEFA Champions League.

Clara Walker was four when she noticed at a Premier Divison match at Garforth Town that Melissa Burgin was running the line.

Her father, Nathan, tweeted a photo, adding that his daughter said: "Her hair is like mine, can I be a referee?"

To date, the post has been retweeted over 6,000 times and has almost 26,000 likes worldwide.

Now, a video made by Bleacher Report Football and Santander chronicles her story from that match to leading out Liverpool and Barcelona at the recent Champions League Semi-Final tie at Anfield.
