Another management change for Steelmen
1st August, 2022
Parkgate have announced that Scott Mason is their new manager, the third change at the helm at the Steelmen this season.
He replaces Liam Kay who, along with his backroom staff, resigned from their positions at the Toolstation NCEL Division One club at the weekend.
It has been a turbulent month for the Green Lane side who firstly lost duo Andy Dawson and Lee Whitehead to neighbours Maltby Main, and their replacement Ryan Hall then stepped down due to work commitments with Kay taking over for just one match.
Mason will be joined in the dugout by Danny Parker and Danny Swales and they take over first team affairs with immediate effect.
A statement released by the club on their website said: "The club are delighted to welcome Scott Mason as new first team manager.
"This news comes after the current management team exited the club over the weekend after Saturday's 6-2 defeat to Staveley Miners Welfare.
"The club will not be making anymore comments on the situation regarding the departures of individuals.
"We look forward to working with Scott and his management team."
Change of manager for Parkgate
20th July, 2022
Parkgate have announced that Liam Kay is taking over from Ryan Hall who has stepped down as manager due to work commitments.
Hall and his backroom team had been unveiled by the Toolstation NCEL Division One side at the weekend.
But, he has since informed the Steelmen that he cannot fully focus on the role due to work commitments.
So, he is to become a first team coach whilst Kay, who resigned as manager of Central Midlands League runners-up Retford United last month, takes over at the helm.
Further movement within the management team includes the departure of assistant boss Joe Dixon who will be replaced by Andy Stevens whilst Mark Coggins will join Kay from Retford United as first team coach with Hall taking up a similar coaching role.
Simon Kelly, who previously worked under Kay at Retford United, will remain as goalkeeper coach whilst Wayne Burgin will also stay as joint assistant manager alongside Stevens.
The club have also announced that Howard Wood will leave the coaching team.

Steelmen search for new manager begins
10th July, 2022
Parkgate are inviting applications to become their manager after the departure of duo Andy Dawson and Lee Whitehead to neighbours Maltby Main.
The pair make the move up to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division to replace Russ Eagle who had been in charge at Muglet Lane for only a couple of months.
That has left the Division One Steelmen without a management team with the new season just under three weeks away.
So, they are hoping to quickly wrap up a replacement, releasing a short statement that read: "Due to circumstances beyond our control, we now have a vacancy for a first team manager.
"All applications to the secretary Bruce Bickerdike by 6pm on Monday 11th July, 2022.
"We appreciate that this is short notice, but the season commences on Saturday 30th July, 2022.
"Please, no time wasters."
Anyone interested in applying is asked to contact Bruce Bickerdike by email at brucebickerdike@hotmail.com or by phone on 07831 664710.
