AGM Latest News
12th June, 2010
The KoolSport Northern Counties East League AGM took place at the Royal Hotel in Scarborough earlier today.
This is the latest news from the meeting:
* The proposed constitution of the Premier Division and Division One for the 2010/11 season was accepted.
* New club Farsley AFC go into the Premier Division taking promoted Rainworth Miners Welfare's place whilst Shirebrook Town and Brodsworth Welfare are relegated into Division One, replaced by Tadcaster Albion and Brighouse Town in the top flight.
* Three new clubs are accepted into Division One - Handsworth, Louth Town and Scarborough Town - taking that division up to 21 teams for next season.
* Scarborough Town's place in the League, however, is currently provisional and depends on whether planning permission is secured for floodlights and other required work is completed in time.
* A rule change has been approved where clubs can now name up to five substitutes for matches, three of which can be used.
* The draw for the first two rounds of the League Cup has also been made. Full details of that will be put on the site once available.
