£1,000 raised at Toolstation Cup match
23rd August, 2016
Two charities have benefited enormously from the pre-season Toolstation Cup clash between Handsworth Parramore and Odd Down AFC.
The ?1,000 proceeds from the raffle and donations from matchday officials at the game which took place at the Windsor Foodservice Stadium in Worksop last month were evenly split between the RNLI Flood Rescue Team, as Toolstation's official charity partners; and the Weston Park Cancer Charity in Sheffield. This local charity was selected by Handsworth Parramore in memory of Dave Wragg, their club secretary who sadly passed away recently.
During half-time, a charity raffle saw a lucky spectator win a Makita cordless 4-piece kit worth over ?600, donated by Toolstation.
The game was won 4-0 by Handsworth Parramore meaning that the cup, played for between representatives from the Toolstation NCEL and the Toolstation Western League, stays in the north for another year after Cleethorpes Town's success twelve months earlier.
