Toolstation NCEL Match Review 2015/16 #1

Two of the pre-season favourites to lift the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division trophy at the end of the season started their campaigns by hitting their opponents for six on Saturday.
Last season's runners-up, Worksop Town, were 6-0 victors at Athersley Recreation with Shaq McKenzie grabbing a brace whilst Jamie Hatfield, Connor Sellars, Mitch Husbands and Tom Elliott also getting on the scoresheet.
And Tadcaster Albion, who will be looking to improve on their third-place finish in May, won 6-3 at home to Maltby Main, racing into a 3-0 first-half lead through a Liam Ormsby penalty and goals from Nick Black and Joe Thornton.
Dean Conway brought Main back into the game on the 47th minute before Thornton's second restored the Brewers' three-goal advantage and Ben Thornton then added a second for the visitors.
But, it was the home side who took control again with Jimmy Beadle and George Conway netting their fifth and sixth whereupon Farbod Yousefi grabbed a late third for Maltby in stoppage time.
The two sides who came down from the Evo-Stik League started their campaigns with away defeats, Brigg Town going down 3-0 at Parkgate, Piers Bond's opener added to by a second-half double from Ryan Johnson.
And, two goals from Sam Dockwray were not enough for Rainworth Miners Welfare who were beaten 3-2 at Garforth Town, Andy Hawksworth striking twice after Mark Simpson had converted their first.
Division One champions Clipstone started their life at Step 5 with a goalless home draw with Liversedge whilst fellow promoted side Pontefract Collieries went down 3-1 to visitors Armthorpe Welfare.
The away side took the lead in the opening minute through Joe Lumsden and he doubled their lead early in the second period before Mark Whitehouse brought the Colls back into the game only for James Handley to settle the piece with Armthorpe's third with nine minutes remaining.
There were away wins and clean sheets for Nostell Miners Welfare, Albion Sports and Bridlington Town.
Stephen Wales got the only goal of the game for Nostell at Cleethorpes Town, Albion Sports won by the same margin at Retford United, and Lewis Clarkson and Joel Sutton were the scorers for Bridlington in a 2-0 victory at Staveley Miners Welfare.
Kieran Wells' scored two of Handsworth Parramore's goals in their 3-0 home win over Pickering Town and Thackley also got off to a winning start, 2-1, at home to Barton Town Old Boys.
In Division One, Westella VIP and Hull United marked their first appearances in the Toolstation NCEL with wins on their travels.
Chris Spinks netted twice for Westella in a 4-3 victory at Eccleshill United whilst a stoppage time strike from Jack Walters earned Hull at single-goal win at Yorkshire Amateur.
Dronfield Town and Selby Town notched up the biggest victories in the division with Dronfield beating visitors Grimsby Borough, 4-0, whilst Selby triumphed by the same scoreline at Winterton Rangers with two Brenton Leister penalties helping them to the win.
Danny Naylor and Grant Allott scored for AFC Mansfield as they won 2-0 at Bottesford Town, a result matched by Worsbrough Bridge Athletic at Lincoln Moorlands Railway.
Hallam beat hosts Hall Road Rangers, 1-0, there was a 2-1 victory for Shirebrook Town at Penistone Church and Teversal prevailed with a 2-0 home win over Knaresborough Town.
And, the spoils were shared in the division's other two games, Glasshoughton Welfare drawing 1-1 at Hemsworth Miners Welfare and Rossington Main held to a 2-2 scoreline at home by AFC Emley.
