6th December, 2015
The top two sides in the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division were without a game on Saturday after their away matches were postponed but third placed Handsworth Parramore were unable to take advantage.
There was an opportunity to close the gap on leaders Tadcaster Albion and Worksop Town whose trips to Staveley Miners Welfare and Thackley, respectively, were called off due to waterlogged pitches.
But, Parramore fell to a 4-2 home loss at the hands of Bridlington Town despite taking the lead through Simon Harrison, Joel Sutton scoring a hat-trick for the visitors who move up to fifth following their victory.
Barton Town Old Boys go above Handsworth as two goals from Gareth Owen helped them to a 4-0 win at Nostell Miners Welfare and Cleethorpes Town are up into sixth following their 3-1 home triumph over Rainworth Miners Welfare who drop to seventh.
Liam Morris had put the visiting Wrens ahead on 14 minutes but Brody Robertson and Laurence McKay quickly turned the game on its head and Daniel Trott added the third for the home side in stoppage time.
A brace each for Marcus Edwards and Omar Habib went a long way to earning Albion Sports a 5-1 victory over visitors Liversedge to move the Lions up to eighth in the table, replacing Clipstone who went down 3-2 at home to Armthorpe Welfare, James Walker's hat-trick claiming the points for the away side.
There were home wins for Athersley Recreation and Retford United, beating Pontefract Collieries, 2-1, and Pickering Town, 1-0, respectively.
Basement side Brigg Town were beaten 2-0 at Garforth Town and they are joined in the bottom two by Parkgate who lost 1-0 at Maltby Main.
The top three in Division One all won, leaving leaders Hemsworth Miners Welfare six points clear, a Danny Critchlow strike and Jason Yates' pen earning them a 2-1 victory at Westella VIP.
Martin Foster and Nick McNamara netted for second-placed Hull United who won 2-1 at Bottesford Town, their hosts dropping to fifth following their loss.
And, AFC Mansfield won 3-2 at Rossington Main with second half goals from Ryan Williams and Sam O'Malley securing the victory for the Bulls in front of the league's biggest crowd of the day, 210.
A late equaliser from Sam Jerome earned AFC Emley a point in a 2-2 draw at home to Shirebrook Town to lift them above Bottesford into fourth.
The bottom three sides all tasted defeat with Lincoln Moorlands Railway staying ten points adrift after a 4-2 home loss to Eccleshill United despite a double from Chris Hamilton.
Winterton Rangers fell to an injury-time winner by Blake Owen as visitors Dronfield Town took home the points, coming from three goals down to win 4-3.
And, Worsbrough Bridge Athletic were beaten 3-0 at Hallam who strengthened their grip on seventh spot.
The spoils were shared in the day's other two games as Yorkshire Amateur drew 3-3 at Glasshoughton Welfare, Nathan Keightley with a last gasp equaliser for the hosts, and Teversal were held 2-2 at home by Grimsby Borough with the visitors scoring twice in the last three minutes.
Penistone Church's home clash with Selby Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
