Bridlington Town fought bravely but were unable to become the third Toolstation NCEL side to reach the Third Round of Qualifying in the Emirates FA Cup in midweek.
They had taken Vanarama National League North side Harrogate Town to a replay and were a couple of minutes away from forcing extra-time in their rematch at their higher ranked hosts, courtesy of second half goals from Chris Adams and Ryan Nicholls, but the home side netted late on to claim a 3-2 win.
In the League Cup, Handsworth Parramore are through to the Fourth Round with a 3-1 victory at Garforth Town after coming from behind at the break, Jamie Allsop with the first half strike, thanks to a Harry Bamforth double and an injury-time third from Jon Froggatt.
Premier Division leaders Cleethorpes Town came from behind three times at next-to-bottom Parkgate to draw 3-3 at extend their advantage to two points.
Marc Cooper got their third on 82 after Lebrun Mbeka had seemingly claimed the victory for Parkgate who had earlier led through goals by Alex Lill and Joshua Moore but had seen their advantage cancelled out by Brody Robertson and then Jonathan Oglesby.
Bottesford Town are up to fourth after a 1-1 home draw with Clipstone, Terence Barwick's early penalty matched by a spot-kick for the visitors from Joshua Nodder in the 50th minute.
Two goals each for Joseph Danby and Lewis Taylor helped Pickering Town to a 7-0 win at Barton Town Old Boys and the Pikes are now seventh.
Charlie Dawes, Kyle Jordan and Mitcham Husbands netted for Worksop Town in their 3-0 defeat of hosts Harrogate Railway Athletic whilst there was a brace for Thomas Ellis in Staveley Miners Welfare's 3-1 home victory over Retford United.
Penistone Church head Division One for the first time after they won 3-0 at home to the side they replace at the summit, Winterton Rangers, Dale Kelly's double added to by an own goal from Carl Giblin.
Only eight points separate the top seventeen teams after what was a busy midweek in the division.
Hall Road Rangers are third, behind Penistone and Winterton on goal difference, after a 4-1 home victory over Yorkshire Amateur, Jamie Reeson with two of their goals.
Fourth place belongs to Hallam who equalised twice at AFC Emley to take a point in a 2-2 draw, Joel Purkiss and Tom Roebuck cancelling out strikes from Alex Slack and Ashley Flynn in the first half.
Jack Debnam and Sam Walker ensured a 2-1 victory for fifth placed Grimsby Borough at Glasshoughton Welfare whilst Pontefract Collieries drop to sixth after their 3-1 loss at Selby Town, Wayne Brook, Jack Stocks and a Christopher Jackson penalty claiming the win for the Robins.
Marcus Edwards netted twice as Eccleshill United climb to seventh thanks to a 5-2 win at home to Westella & Willerby who are now bottom of the table after Ollerton Town picked up their first league victory of the season.
Stephen Smith had given hosts Nostell Miners Welfare an eleventh minute lead but Joshua Dodd soon equalised for Ollerton and Greg Tobin got what proved to be the winner just after the hour mark.
Luke Anderson got both of Brigg Town's goals as they won 2-0 at home to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic whilst Rossington Main defeated visitors Campion by the same scoreline.
And, the spoils were shared in a 2-2 draw between Dronfield Town and Knaresborough Town.
