The two final Toolstation NCEL representatives in this season's Emirates FA Cup bowed out of the competition on Saturday at the Third Round Qualifying stage but both put up a good fight against higher-ranked Evo-Stik League opposition.
AFC Mansfield took the lead at home to Stamford through Oliver Fearon but their visitors levelled on the hour mark and then converted a penalty as the game went into stoppage time to break the Bulls' hearts with a 2-1 win.
Handsworth Parramore, meanwhile, travelled to former NCEL club Lincoln United and found themselves two goals down by the 61st minute but Jon Froggatt gave them hope with an 81st minute penalty before the hosts made sure of a victory with an injury-time strike that saw it end 3-1.
Two Division One sides progressed to the second round of their respective county cups with Dronfield Town having a comfortable 4-0 win at Mickleover RBL in the Derbyshire Senior Cup, a Callum Mawbey brace added to with goals from Ryan Ruddiforth and Blake Owen.
But, Ollerton Town needed extra-time to dispatch hosts Clifton All Whites in the Nottinghamshire Senior Cup, Brandon Shaw earning a 2-1 victory after Kyle Ludlow's early opener had been cancelled out.
Liversedge stay top of the Premier Division after Stephen Wales netted in their 1-0 win at next-to-bottom Parkgate, remaining a point ahead of Cleethorpes Town who, thanks to a double from Alexander Flett, beat fifth-placed visitors Bottesford Town, 3-2.
Thackley's fine start to the season continued as Benjamin Joyce got both of their goals in a 2-1 home victory over Harrogate Railway Athletic and they are up to third, two points off the summit, going above Albion Sports who were beaten 1-0 at Clipstone, courtesy of a 37th minute Joshua Nodder strike.
A 4-3 win at Worksop Town saw Athersley Recreation climb to sixth with Liam Owen, Oliver Glaves, Bradley Johnston and Kai Hancock getting on the scoresheet for them at the Windsor Foodservice Stadium whilst Charlie Dawes struck twice for the Tigers.
Curtis Woodhouse's reign as Bridlington Town began with a 7-1 home thrashing of basement side Armthorpe Welfare, Brett Agnew with a hat-trick for the Seasiders, whilst Pickering Town were 6-0 victors over visitors Maltby Main, Ryan Cooper getting two of their goals.
Garforth Town were 3-0 winners at Barton Town Old Boys and there were also successes on their travels for Retford United, 2-0 at Hemsworth Miners Welfare, and for Staveley Miners Welfare who beat near neighbours Rainworth Miners Welfare by a single goal.
Dale Kelly netted twice in Penistone Church's 2-0 victory at Rossington Main to keep them top of Division One with Knaresborough Town now their closest rival in the table on goal difference.
Second half goals from Blaine Hobson and Fraser Lancaster helped Knaresborough to a 4-1 home victory over Grimsby Borough whilst Hallam and Pontefract Collieries climb to third and fourth, respectively, with wins on the road.
Jake Currie claimed a double in Hallam's 4-0 triumph at Shirebrook Town and Christopher Wood's hat-trick and two for Christopher Jackson went a long way to securing a 6-1 defeat of Brigg Town by the Colls.
Winterton Rangers drop three places to fifth after Jason Crisp's first-half goal saw them go down 1-0 at Selby Town.
Campion are up to seventh after Eli Hey's hat-trick in their 3-2 home win over AFC Emley and Glasshoughton Welfare beat visitors Nostell Miners Welfare, 3-0.
Zak Oakshott got both of bottom side Westella & Willerby's goals in their first victory of the season, 2-1 at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic, and there was also a brace for Sam Bradley as Eccleshill United came away from Yorkshire Amateur with all three points in a 3-2 win.
