A 10-0 home victory for Cleethorpes Town over Retford United moved the Owls to the top of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division on Saturday.

The hosts went in at the interval with a seven goal lead thanks to a Liam Davis hat-trick, two from Brody Robertson and one each from Marc Cooper and Matthew Kingston before Cooper completed his brace and then Liam Dickens and Caine Winfarrah also got onto the scoresheet in the second period.

Liversedge, who began the day at the summit, are now second after they were beaten 5-2 at Hemsworth Miners Welfare, Bill Law's hat-trick helping the hosts to the win whilst Nicholas Guest and Ashley Smith also added to their tally with Harrison Blakey and Vaughan Redford netting for the visitors towards the end of the first half to make it 2-2 at the break.

Thackley stay third, four points behind Cleethorpes, after a 3-0 home loss at the hands of AFC Mansfield, Gary Bradshaw's opener added to by a Jason White penalty and then a second-half strike from Matthew Plummer as the Bulls remain in twelfth position.

Bridlington Town survived a late comeback from hosts Rainworth Miners Welfare for a 3-2 victory which moves them up into sixth spot as Nicky McNamara's goal and a double from Brett Agnew had them in full control by the 55th minute but quickfire strikes from Julian Topliss and then Aaron Moxam - his twentieth goal of the season - brought the Wrens back into the game.

A goal towards the end of each half from Jon Froggatt and then Alex Rippon earned Handsworth Parramore a 2-0 win at Clipstone and they are now seventh, leaping over Bottesford Town who went down 2-1 at home to Maltby Main, Ryan Carroll and Steve Hopewell's first half strikes ultimately earning the visitors the victory.

David Cawley's brace helped Athersley Recreation to a 3-1 win at bottom side Parkgate to climb into ninth with Hemsworth completing the top ten.

There were 5-1 victories for Staveley Miners Welfare at Barton Town Old Boys, courtesy of a Kieran Watson hat-trick, and for Worksop Town at home to Armthorpe Welfare with Connor Brunt netting twice for the Tigers.

And, Harrogate Railway Athletic were 2-0 down after six minutes at Garforth Town but restored parity before half-time in a game that finished 2-2.

The top two both won in Division One whilst the jostling for the places immediately below them continued with just seven points separating the top eleven teams.

Penistone Church remain at the summit but left it late to take the points at Yorkshire Amateur despite taking a 53rd minute lead through Dale Kelly as the Ammers levelled quickly through Adam Shaw and then went ahead themselves with a T'nique Fishley goal but Daniel Joynes' penalty made it 2-2 and Scott Whittington got Penistone's winner with two minutes remaining.

There were also late goals from Matthew Crane - his second of the afternoon - and for Andrew Harrison to help Winterton Rangers over the line in a 4-2 home win over basement side Nostell Miners Welfare to keep them a point off the top.

Selby Town are up to third with their 5-0 victory at the expense of visitors Westella & Willerby, Calum Ward, Liam Flanagan, Thomas Hogg, James Arnold and Scott Jones with the Robins' goals.

Simon Mirfin's 87th minute winner snatched Hallam a 3-2 win at Glasshoughton Welfare to move them into fourth whilst Eccleshill United beat hosts Worsbrough Bridge Athletic 7-1 to take fifth spot, including a Luke Harrop hat-trick and two from Alex Cusack.

Knaresborough Town drew 2-2 at home with AFC Emley and they drop to sixth and ninth, respectively, with Samuel Jerome and Ashley Flynn scoring in the final minutes to rescue a point for the visitors after a Tom Hesketh penalty and a Brad Walker strike had seemingly given the hosts a victory.

Grimsby Borough are down to seventh after they let a two-goal lead slip at Rossington Main as Zephaniah Thomas' second and a goal from Micky Davies in the last quarter-of-an-hour for the home side saw the match end 3-3.

Campion and Hall Road Rangers are tenth and eleventh after home wins, an Eli Hey brace helping Campion to a 3-0 defeat of Teversal whilst Joshua Batty did the same as Rangers beat Pontefract Collieries, 4-2.

And, Shirebrook Town took the lead in the fifth minute through Jonathon Hills in Karl Colley's first game in charge but went down 2-1 at home to neighbours Ollerton Town, Joshua Dodd and Kyle Ludlow netting for the visitors towards the end of the opening period.
