Knaresborough appoint new boss
8th July, 2015
Following Brian Davey?s shock decision to stand down as manager of the club?s first team, Knaresborough Town have acted quickly to appoint his assistant, Paul Stansfield, to the role with immediate effect.
Stansfield first played for the club in 2007 whilst playing at a higher level but joined fully from 2011 when he also became involved in the club's coaching team.
He had previously played at Clitheroe, Harrogate Town and Harrogate Railway Athletic prior to joining Worksop Town before his involvement at Manse Lane.
After taking time out last season, apart from a single match, Paul had agreed to become assistant manager for the forthcoming campaign but now takes full control as the club looks to begin its pre-season at Riccall United this evening, kick-off 7pm.
