Norbury resigns at Glasshoughton
23rd November, 2015
Glasshoughton Welfare have announced that manager Mick Norbury has resigned from his position at the club.
A statement from the Toolstation NCEL Division One side said: "Despite trying to stay positive after his team lost 3-1 to Winterton Rangers on Saturday, Norbury took the decision to call time on his tenure in a phone call to chairman Jon Miles on Sunday morning.
"In total, Norbury oversaw a total of 24 competitive games for the Leeds Road outfit, winning only four and drawing five.
"The club would like to put on record their thanks to Norbury for his efforts during the past six months.
"For the game at Hull United tomorrow evening, Miles will join assistant manager Roley Lanes in the dugout."
Welfare have decided to advertise the vacant post and persons interested should contact secretary Frank Maclachlan on frank.maclachlan@btinternet.com with the closing date being Friday 4th December, 2015.
