Ellerby becomes new Nostell boss
2nd October, 2016
Nostell Miners Welfare are looking to turn around their fortunes following the arrival of new manager Chris Ellerby.
The former Halifax Irish boss has named Scott Atkinson, who was caretaker manager since Graham Nicholas left the Toolstation NCEL Division One club, as his assistant.
Speaking to Non League Yorkshire, chairman Kevin Allsop said: "He came across well at his interview and he buys into the club's philosophies.
"He brings success over the last six years and hopefully he can turn things around for us."
Ellerby's first game in charge saw a 3-0 defeat at Glasshoughton Welfare on Saturday, leaving Nostell in the bottom two.
Attention now turns to the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup with a home tie against Harworth Colliery Institute on Tuesday night.
