Knaresborough Town say they are sad to announce that assistant manager Mark Smitheringale has decided to relinquish his role at the club and move onto pastures new.
Chairman of the Toolstation NCEL Division One side, Peter Plews, commented: "Mark (Smudge) has been an excellent servant to our club. His commitment and dedication has been above and beyond the call of duty.
"He is well liked by and respected by everyone here at the club and Knaresborough Town would like to publicly place on record our thanks to Mark for his efforts and hard work for the club over the past seasons and, on behalf of all the committee, players and supporters, we wish him well for the future."
Boss Paul Stansfield added: "Since taking the job as first team manager, Mark has been amazing to work with.
"He was the first and best phone call that I made when attempting to assemble a back room team.
"He has worked very hard on behalf of the club and has helped the lads tremendously. His attention to detail is on another level.
"He will be missed here at the club and we wish him well for the future."
