Tighe joins Cobras coaching staff
13th June, 2017
Danny Tighe has become the latest to join the coaching staff at Clipstone as the Cobras prepare for the 2017/18 Toolstation NCEL Premier Division season.
Manager Ian Cotton, who has been in charge at the Worksop Van Hire Stadium since Billy Fox's resignation in January, told the club's website: "Danny has been around non-league football for many years as a player and recently as a coach with Teversal.
"It's important that, with us having a young squad, the right information is relayed to the players during training and match days.
"Danny has that experience and, after taking a couple of pre-season training sessions, it's clear the players have responded to him positively."
Tighe joins Ian Birtley and Steve Smith on the coaching staff and Cotton has added that he is in discussions with another coach and hopes to tie that up over the next few days.
Cotton added: "With running the u21s as well this season and already having such a positive turnout to the training sessions, it's paramount that we make the most of any time we have with players.
"A lot of the mistakes we made last season can be ironed out on the training ground but only if we have enough staff in attendance."
