Denton and Poulter take over at Wrens
5th May, 2017
Toolstation NCEL Premier Division side Rainworth Miners Welfare have announced that former Worksop Town assistant boss Craig Denton and Rob Poulter have been appointed as their new management team.
A statement from Wrens chairman Les Lee said: "It has been well documented that last season had been very difficult, both on and off the pitch, with the sad loss of Kim and Eileen Wright and our battle against relegation.
"When Julian Watts and Ady Smith left, by mutual agreement, at the end of the season, the club produced a blueprint of the requirements for any future manager, whilst taking our continued status at Step 5 in the NCEL into consideration.
"After meeting with Craig earlier in the week, we were impressed by how close to that blueprint he was.
"With the need for expediency to enable the new manager the longest possible preparation for pre-season, we feel it is necessary to make this early announcement.
"The club would like to thank all those who have expressed an interest in the post and wish them well for the future."
