7th November, 2010
Farsley AFC fell to a surprise defeat at home to Maltby Main that saw their lead at the top of the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division cut to three points.
Main fully deserved the victory and move up to thirteenth.
Adam Shepherd put the visitors ahead on sixteen minutes but that was immediately cancelled out by Simeon Bambrook.
However, Scott Whittington popped up in first-half stoppage time to give Main an interval lead before Greg Mason doubled their advantage early in the second period.
Bambrook scored his and Farsley's second on the hour mark but their revival was quickly snuffed out by Rob Branagan.
Second placed Parkgate took full advantage with a 3-1 win at home to Armthorpe Welfare, Nathan Swindells scoring twice and Keir Hannity also finding the net whilst Leo Fortune-West got himself on the scoresheet in his debut for Armthorpe.
Bridlington Town kept themselves two points behind Parkgate in third with a 2-1 victory at Arnold Town who slip into the bottom three.
Craig Hogg's 37th-minute strike had Bridlington ahead until the last twelve minutes when Luke Smithson had seemingly nabbed a point for the hosts.
But, Craig Palmer ensured the away win for the Seasiders who have games in hand on the two sides above them.
Graham Marchant and Wayne Crossley both struck twice for Brighouse Town as they climb up into fourth with a 5-1 victory at Hall Road Rangers.
They go above Tadcaster Albion who drew 0-0 at Lincoln Moorlands Railway.

Thackley are up into seventh after their 2-1 win at Liversedge, with goals in the last two minutes of the opening period from Matthew Mathers and Luke Hudson proving the vital strikes of the afternoon.
Sedge remain bottom, one point behind Hallam and four away from Arnold.
Two goals each for Liam Davis and Adam Lee secured a 4-2 home win for Selby Town at home to Long Eaton United whilst it was a goalless draw between Dinnington Town and Nostell Miners Welfare.
And, Christopher Jenkinson scored the only goal of the game in Scarborough Athletic's victory at home to local rivals, Pickering Town, in front of a massive crowd of 614 at Queensgate.
Barton Town Old Boys remain Division One leaders on goal difference as the top two sides both won.
Gareth Barlow, Mark Griffin and Scott Phillips all scored in the first half for Barton in their 3-0 victory over next-to-bottom visitors Appleby Frodingham.
Staveley Miners Welfare stay second after they came from behind to win 3-1 at Rossington Main.
Michael MacDonald had given the hosts the early lead but Jamie Smith and Ryan Damms turned the game around with two goals in a minute midway through the first half and Aymen Tahar added the third in second period injury time.
Pontefract Collieries lost some ground in third place as they came from 3-0 down at half-time to draw 3-3 at home to Shirebrook Town.
Sean Hamstead's opener and a Michael Lyall brace had given the Derbyshire visitors a fantastic start but Craig Stephens struck twice and Luke Smith added the equaliser from the penalty spot with two minutes remaining.
Handsworth move up into fourth after their 4-3 home win over Bottesford Town, climbing above Askern Villa who were undone by a first half Mitchell Slawson hat-trick in a 3-1 defeat at Teversal.
Tim Lowe struck twice for Louth Town as they went above visitors Leeds Carnegie into sixth spot after their 3-1 victory and Grimsby Borough are up into seventh after they won 4-0 at bottom side, Brodsworth Welfare.

Hemsworth Miners Welfare were 3-2 winners at home to AFC Emley whilst Worsbrough Bridge Athletic needed an 89th minute equaliser from Liam McFadyen to take a point in a 2-2 draw with visitors Eccleshill United.
