Ammers Set For Barnsley Test
12th July, 2010
Yorkshire Amateur will bring their pre-season games to a close with a friendly at Bracken Edge against Barnsley on July 30th.
And, the KoolSport NCEL Division One side are delighted by the way preparations are going.
Chairlady Jeni French said: "With the new management team of Paul Lines and Steve Milner, pre-season training has been fantastic.
"The squad have been working hard with players, both old and new, looking extremely ready for the season ahead.
"There have been a lot of changes over the closed season, mainly the introduction of the new management team.
"Graham Hodder stepped down at the end of last season after taking care of the first team extremely well over the last three years (and the reserves previous to that).
"Graham, I'm delighted to say, has remained at the Club in an advisory position to the committee, working closely with Paul and Ste regarding all football matters.
"There's a real buzz at the club and we are thoroughly looking forward to the start of the season.
"And, we are delighted that Barnsley have agreed to come along and play us in what will be one of our last pre-season games."
The match will kick off at 7pm at Bracken Edge Football Ground, for further information contact the club on 0113 262 4093.
