Lodge is New Boss at Rossington
21st January, 2011
KoolSport NCEL Division One side Rossington Main have today announced a change of manager.
Steve Lodge replaces Mel Culshaw at the helm of the Welfare Ground outfit.
A statement from chairman Carl Stokes says: "The committee would like to thank Mel for all his hard work he has put in during his short spell in charge.
"The decision has not been made lightly, but the committee and I felt the club needed a change in its fortunes and firmly believe Steve is the man for the job.
"We wish Mel all the best in the future and every success in his endeavours.
"He brought new ideas to the training ground, especially on the fitness side of the game, and the club is hoping to persuade Mel to help in some capacity at Main, continuing his work as player fitness coach.
"Steve will take full control of Rossington Main this Saturday at home to Eccleshill United and is fully aware of the high aspirations of the club and is ready to work with the committee, players and management teams to achieve those aspirations.
"Steve will be assisted by our long time club servant ex-manager, Ian Wilson."
